Building hope,bringing change

Mission Direct enables everyday people to make a practical and lasting difference to some of the world's most vulnerable people. We do this by making long-term commitments to our carefully-chosen partners in-country and equipping volunteers to join us for a 2-week short-term volunteering mission trip overseas to build homes, schools/classrooms, hospitals and rescue centres etc. The impact you have and how much your time means to the local people, will change you forever!

Donate

Mission Direct relies on donations for all of it's income and only survives through the generosity of individuals, organisations and grant making bodies. If you wish to make a one-off or regular donation you can do so below in one of three areas. Regular donations help us to be able to plan our activities so these are appreciated.

In October, Mission Direct and Footprints Foundation for Children in Zambia run a bespoke non-building team to work amongst the street children in Lusaka. Volunteers can serve alongside the dedicated Zambian Footprints outreach team in their work amongst groups of children and teenagers who have found themselves living in vulnerable, appalling and dangerous conditions on the streets.

Mission Direct had a difficult year in 2021 with not being able to travel but we still managed to support our partners and complete our projects.

Featured Mission Trips

KUM23/44

25-Mar to 08-Apr-2023

Kumi in Eastern Uganda will give you a taste of the ‘real Africa’. The colours are bright, the welcomes are big, the wildlife is jaw-dropping and the scenery is breath-taking. However, underneath that traditional view, the need is significant. Help us give access to education for Kumi's generation of orphans.

ZAM23/45

01-Jul to 15-Jul-2023

In and around Lusaka you'll find many compounds where communities of people live in poverty. Schools here receive no funding and are doing their best to provide education to the children in their community. Come and help us continue to support local projects to help provide a safe, uncrowded environment for children to receive a full-time education - the key to breaking their poverty.
